Slay The Spire

Very cool game if you want to play STS with friends, only downside from the digital version is the lack of cards you're able to build over a game, only 10 cards added on most games, and removals are very difficult too.

From a veteran of the video game with over 1200 hours under my belt, my answer is: yes this is a distinct game that is worth owning and playing — even over the video game. An absolutely marvelous labor of love.

Incredibly fun rogue-like deck builder! I’m not exactly sure why this game just works so well and is so much fun, low barrier to entry, fun characters to learn and build different deck builds, fun unlocks, and great at all player counts including solo :)

I can't get enough of this deck builder. Great to play as you learn type of game. You basically need 2 minutes of instructions and you can start playing. I will always suggest this game given the choice.

Enjoyment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replayability: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rules: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Complexity: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Luck ─────■── Skill I had zero video game nostalgia and was thoroughly intimidated by the sheer size of the box, but this ended up being one of the best tabletop surprises in years. Streamlining the digital arithmetic makes combat lightning fast, and coordinating character synergies (Watcher stance-dancing alongside Defect orbs) is insanely satisfying. Setup takes dedication, but the addictive "we just wiped, let's immediately restart" rogue-like loop will easily eat your entire evening.
