This is a worthy addition to Hive. It's a really versatile piece that I love to play with. The Ladybug can cover a lot of distance and can get in and out of enclosed spaces.

Description
The Ladybug was first introduced to the iPhone version of Hive in 2010. It is included in the "Carbon" version of Hive, and has been released as an expansion for the original Bakelite edition of the the Hive base game.
The Ladybug moves three spaces; two on top of the Hive, then one down. It must move exactly two on top of the Hive and then move one down on its last move. It may not move around the outside of the Hive and may not end its movement on top of the Hive. Even though it cannot block by landing on top of other pieces like the Beetle, it can move into or out of surrounded spaces. It also has the advantage of being much faster.
The expansion consists of two game pieces (one each for the black and for the white player), to be used in addition to the pieces of the base game.

My favourite of the expansions I think - love that movement. Like a knight in chess but with more fun/humour somehow. Buy direct from Gen 42 website if you can, it's much cheaper.
Solid expansion tile. If I had to choose between this and the mosquito though, I would definitely choose the mosquito.
La mariquita mueve tres espacios; dos encima de la colmena, luego uno hacia abajo. Debe mover exactamente dos en la parte superior de la colmena y luego mover uno hacia abajo en su último movimiento. A great addition to a great game. Like an overpowered ant, often the ace in the hole.
CAUTION! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. It contains small parts which could be swallowed or inhaled.
