Description
13 Animals is a card game where you win by being the first to form sets with all your animals, or by collecting eleven different animals and achieving a rainbow victory.
Each player receives ten cards; three face-up cards open three discard piles and the remaining deck is split in two. The cards feature five types of mammals, three birds and five legendary creatures, with green, blue or yellow fronts and backs.
On your turn you draw from a discard pile or one of the two decks, then discard a card. Each card indicates one or more scoring sets (stars). When all cards in your hand are part of a set, you can reveal your hand and close the round. Alternatively, eleven different animals close the round. After three rounds, whoever has the most points wins.
The 2025 Korean version, with English and Japanese rules, uses direct scoring: the stars earned become the player's points.
