The base game was great and this new expansion just adds more! This makes the game even cooler adding 4 new factions. I would say the best part is the bear cavalry! It fits great with the game but doesn't add any new mechanics.

A great first expansion. My favorite from this set has to be the Steampunks. They're actions dominate bases.
Smash Up is of my all time favorite games. I love the endless variability each new expansion ads. Love the silliness. Love figuring out how to make each randomly selected pair of decks work with each other. My only complaint is the cards are getting harder to read as my eyes age. I wish gamers designers would consider readability for older adults and vision impaired.
