Probably the most played and best 4p game ever for me. I'll still be playing this in the senior residence with friends on a regular basis. Recently got the beautiful french edition.

Description
Partnership climbing card game -- object is rid yourself of your hand. The deck is a standard 52-card pack with four special cards added. When it's your turn, you may either beat the current top card combination or pass. If play passes all the way back to the player who laid the top cards, he wins the trick and can lead the next one. The card led determines the only combination of cards to be played on that trick. So if a single card is led, then only single cards are played. If a straight of seven cards is led, then only straights of seven cards, etc. The last player out gives all the cards he won to the player who exited first, and the last player's unplayed cards are handed to the opposite team. Fives, Tens and Kings are worth points, with each hand worth one hundred points (without bonuses). The first team to 1000 points wins.

Mein Lieblings-Stichspiel. Damals haben wir viele Abende damit verbracht, nur Tichu wieder und wieder zu spielen.
Best card game I ever played. What works: team based game, with an intense load of strategy. Packed and works with just a few cards. Addictive and every game feels different. Critics: hard to introduce and understand all the mechanics and rules.
Incredible climbing card game. One of the few proprietary card games that can match the classics.
Tichu est un excellent jeu de plis et de défausse, même s’il est très exigent. Ses mécaniques inhabituelles demanderont plusieurs parties pour être appréhendées, mais une fois ceci fait, Tichu se révèle hyper stratégique et demande une coordination d’équipe parfaite. Pour qui veut s’y investir, Tichu promet de belles soirées à taper le carton. J’imagine bien des tournois pour ce petit jeu de cartes venu de l’Empire du Milieu. https://undecent.fr/2021/09/03/tichu/
