Bot Factory
In Bot Factory you'll manage a toy assembly line using the Kanban method. Collect designs and components, assemble robots, and meet demand objectives to increase your project value. A worker placement game inspired by the world's most famous lean production system, where players compete to impress management by enthusiastically embracing the new approach.
The game is coming soon
A game by Vital Lacerda and João Quintela Martins, illustrated by Pedro Soto. The toy factory's management discovered the Kanban method during a seminar and, convinced of its efficiency, reorganized the entire production department to take advantage of it, even calling in Sandra, the manager of the local electric car factory as a consultant.
In Bot Factory the goal is to collect designs and components and then assemble robots, satisfying demand objectives and increasing the value of the robot you're building. Sandra moves between different departments and uses the players' spaces. The game borrows from Kanban the worker placement mechanic where turn order is determined by the position of workers on the board.
If you manage to impress everyone by enthusiastically embracing the new approach, even exceeding the highest expectations, you can earn a position as an executive and finally leave the assembly line.

I've played the game first time in Leiria and was I taken by it. It flows perfectly and, although being themed in a kaban style, it's a much lighter game that I see coming into the table much more often than Kanban. Eager to get my hands on the final version!
Love Kanban EV and this allows a good deal of that experience in just a one hour play time. Great stuff by Lacerda and friends -- again!
Play tested this a good bit (4th highest play time other than the designers). It's as if Knizia designed Kanban, meant in the best possible way. Easy to teach and learn, quick to play, but very deep and very nuanced. Tactical and crunchy, between Sandra and the other players your plans need to always be readjusted. One of my absolute favorites.
A fantastic re-imagining of Kanban EV designed to bring newer gamers into the fold while retaining all of the magic of the original. A must own.
