On a typical workday, Cal Meacham, a skilled technician at a research laboratory, receives a new, splendid catalog of electronic materials in the mail at his office, along with a box of samples. He finds himself faced with a quantity of unusual and extraordinarily advanced tools that no one had heard of until that moment. Who is behind the mysterious organization that sent the catalog? And what seemingly alien technology is at the core of the Interocitor, the strange device whose function is not well known, offered in a kit? When Cal gives in to curiosity and orders the necessary parts to build the mysterious Interocitor, he can hardly imagine that soon he will find himself in the vast depths of space, involved in a galactic war that has been raging for millions of years, and of which the flying saucers that soar through the skies of Earth are just emissaries... emissaries from deep space come to involve our planet in their conflict.
