This notebook is dedicated to the drawing, poetics and comics of Edmond Baudoin, born from the collaboration between COMICON, the international pop culture festival, and QUASI. The notebook traverses Baudoin's life and works, following biographical and thematic paths. The analyses and stories are driven by the lateral gaze and mixed approach of QUASI, which contaminates the reading with history, society, life, pleasure, craft, experience and the desire of people who love Baudoin's work because they have lived it and lived through it, remaining in balance between happiness and security.
Edmond Baudoin, to support himself and his family, worked for a long time as an accountant, while the fever of comics forced him to draw at night. He abandoned that trade, secure but unsatisfying, over forty years ago, debuting in comics in his forties. He built himself, page by page, book by book, journey by journey, a territory of drawn narrative furrowed by changing and recognizable paths. After about one hundred books signed Baudoin and numerous awards, it is today necessary to confront the work of an extremely important author.
