Again It's still Power Grid, It's still good - I like the speed variant played on the Benelux board in case you just have to have a game of Power Grid but don't have a huge amount of time to play. Central Europe just adds a little something different to an already good nay great game. 4 Plays. Benelux 3, Central Europe 1.

I love Power Grid, but I thought this map expansion would be worth while originally. Not many of the rules change, so it is just a new map. Boy was I wrong! It is amazing how the little changes can drastically effect the game and make it different than base game! It truely shows the game's brilliance in design.

I really like the Benelux expansion and like the "sped-up" features it brings. I think the "lowest and highest" power plant going away at the end of the turn may help the game in any format from dragging down in the middle....like it normally does....anxious to try that rule on other maps as well....

Beneluxe is great as an intro to the power grid series. The central europe nuclear restriction pact would have been more interesting if the game had additional nuclear and trash power plants to increase the tension in the game.

Benelux: The Benelux map is great. The board is tight and the costs are low. The system pushes green plants into play quicker and dumps worthless plants sooner. All in all the pace is just right where it needs to be. Great! Central Europe: The no nukes is a nice idea, I'm not sure how well it works. Perhaps if Poland were cheaper it would make more sense. I do like the Vienna trash reduction (and proliferation) though, it actually makes trash a viable strategy from early on.
