Description Description
The author tells the story of Estrella's struggle for survival and that of her 'sisters' who live confined in the Spaceship, a hovel where they wait for the moment when the Creator Fathers will finally take them to the Door of Heaven. With powerful and deliberately disturbing images, the author narrates above all the physical and psychological violence on the woman's body. There is only one male character: the self-proclaimed prophet of the sect that worships stellar deities and abuses all these girls as punishment that will allow them to reach salvation. Estrella questions the precepts and is relegated as punishment to a hole in the ground, alone, with cockroaches and her cosmonaut visions.
