Description
Missives of Mystery is an epistolary game that is played over the course of a full calendar year. Each of the 3-5 players takes on the role of a deeply curious person; someone who spends their time conducting research, exploring exotic locales, inventing, or pondering the unusual philosophies of the world. They collaborate with other curious minds through their letters. These characters are each chasing a revelation that they have discovered hints of already. They may have known each other previously, or this may be the start of their correspondence, but whatever the relationship, there is a hope that together they will gain some understanding of the mysterious things they have seen. However, the technological limitations of the day mean that communications will be few and far between, often taking many weeks without any response.
