Description Description
Immersed deeply in the world of Dickens’s and Doyle’s literature, Nanty Narking moves you into the realities of the myths and legends of the Victorian era. The events in the game are tied to real and fictional characters and places in Victorian London The same London which inspired so many stories… The action takes place on the city map, with players placing their agents and buildings on the board through card play. Every card is unique. The cards bring the game to life as they include most of the famous characters who have appeared in the various books. The rules are relatively simple: Play a card and do what it says. Most cards have more than one action on them, and you can choose to do some or all of these actions. Some cards also allow you to play a second card, so you can chain actions. At the beginning of the game, each player draws a secret personality with specific victory conditions, which means that you can never be sure what the other players need to do in order to win. You need to fulfill your goal while also trying to prevent others from winning!

I love everything about this game. The theme, the hidden objectives, the card play, the miniatures. It just all works together perfectly. My rating is based on a 4 player game and might slip when I try a 2 player game, but right now, this game is on my brain big time.

Always fun, with great replayability. Production value is high (especially with metal coins) and the variants give even more. Discworld is a crowd favourite with us and Nanty Narking will continue in its tracks.

Interesting theme, very appealing components, relatively quick play time, thought-provoking interaction between players, and a breeze to teach to others. It all adds up to a very enjoyable game that's fun to play and isn't a slog to get through. Top notch production.

Such a beautiful game. Challenging, thought provoking, skilful, and such a pleasure to play, with a high replay level. I waited years for a new run of Ankh Morpork, so to find out that this was coming as a replacement was an absolute joy, and it did not disappoint.

Great game. Martin Wallace knows how to make a game that swings big and delivers. Fairly quick and chaotic and easy to learn. All this despite the awful art compared to Discworld. Shame the Discworld license did not last.
