This is the most refreshing ;) game I've played in a long time. Great fun, humor, quick to learn, though not easy to play. Requires quite some tactical thinking! Great artwork too!

First impressions are extremely high. Night Soil is an intricately layered logistics puzzle with some top-tier player interaction -- room for negotiation and alliances abound. You can shoot yourself in the foot here. But don't blame the game for that. Do better.
I'm biased, but this is one of only two games I ever wanted to sign after just one play. It blew me away from the beginning and I adore it to pieces.
Simply a gem. The unserious theme hides a highly refined and interactive system, where each move allows you to pursue multiple agendas at once. It’s not heavy, and it comes with dozens of stunning illustrations in a condensed package.
My first play of this went well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a three player game, so I didn't get the whole experience, but I really liked the blocking, I liked the positioning to get the plaques on the top track. The one thing I noticed that I'll have to pay attention to on my next plays: the person with more cards has way more agency when it comes to clearing the poop. It seems like turn order just to make sure you can get a card is important. *** Yeah, the extra card is important.
