One of my favorites. Very easy to explain for parties. Can substitute the picture cards from dixit and dixit expansion packs when you get bored of seeing the same picture cards too often.

What are these strange symbols on the map? They are code for locations where spies must contact secret agents!
Two rival spymasters know the agent in each location. They deliver coded messages telling their field operatives where to go for clandestine meetings. Operatives must be clever. A decoding mistake could lead to an unpleasant encounter with an enemy agent – or worse, with the assassin! Both teams race to contact all their agents, but only one team can win.
Codenames: Pictures differs from the original Codenames in that the agents are no longer represented by a single word, but by an image that contains multiple elements.

Codenames is one of the best party games available, not only for its simple rules but also for the extreme interaction between players. The Pictures version is the definitive one for me because of the greater openness in clues and interpretations that the images allow.
Awesome, engaging team game! Requires a lot of thinking. Simple to learn and teach. Very nice for more people.
THE best version of codenames imo. This is easy to explain quick to play and I've never played this with new people to the game without having them ask for more and more afterward. One of my go to party game
I know taste is subjective but I don't see how anyone can give this less than a 10. It's got an incredible concept, and adds such a layer of depth that you don't get with the standard edition of Codenames (just the words). This is our favorite at game nights, especially because you can play with essentially an unlimited amount of people split into 2 teams.
CAUTION! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. It contains small parts which could be swallowed or inhaled.
