Description
When a clever dragon tricks beloved Princess Amy and swaps her body with a spell, the group of adventurous princesses must find a way to rescue her before the dubious noble knights of the imposter hunt her down. The Princess & The Dragon contains everything needed to play a Perils & Princesses adventure in 3-5 sessions: new monsters, magical items, and a couple of fantastic new Gifts. Inspired by the rebellious dragons of Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles and the wandering princesses of Gail Carson Levine's Ella Enchanted, author Destiny Howell (Ennie award winner) offers a twist on classic fairy tale tropes. It is designed for Perils & Princesses but easily adapts to other NSR systems. A 64-page full-color paperback volume, 5.5×8.5 inches, illustrated in storybook style by Ryan Lynch. Inside: an introductory encounter with a dragon to jump right into action; a map of the enchanted forest full of dangers and secrets; a hidden enclave of gnomes with secret shops and colorful characters; four companies of knights (vainglorious) to parley, discuss, ally, or fight; a curse that turns reckless thieves into greedy dragons; a treasure trove of new items, trinkets, and magical artifacts; storybook-style whimsical illustrations; and a bonus prequel adventure, The Drakenfall Faire, a one-shot fairground trouble.
