Love these factions! The rats are incredibly simple to play, yet advanced enough to not get boring, while the badgers are truly one of a kind in their playstyle, taking multiple plays before I got the hang of them. The hirelings are such a fun design, bringing even more chaos into the forests of Root (especially great when playing with 2 or 3 players).

This expansion really saved my interest for the game by adding more military based factions.
Best expansion in my opinion. Both Rats and badgers are unique, effective and very fun to play with and against. They're well balanced factions. Haven't tried hirelings yet, but I'm sure it will make 2-3 player games even better based on word of mouth, but I'm already satisfied with the two new great factions, and advance set up helps clean the balance a bit more, although not perfect, which I am not expecting.
