Before ordering, separate the cards by size and count those you want to protect. A main deck, small objective cards and reference sheets may need different packs. Measure the width and height of each group: the game's name helps you find your bearings, but the edition you own determines the components and quantities. Start with decks you shuffle and handle frequently, then consider the rest.
Here you will find sleeves from our uplay.it edizioni and Honu Moana brands. They are equivalent when the size and line match, and therefore the thickness too; the product listings state that a pack from either brand may be supplied. Standard and Premium remain different choices. For reordering, keep a note of the size, line and number of sleeves, as well as the pack code.
What do you need?
- You want to limit the bulk of a large number of cards
- Consider uplay.it edizioni Standard: the 63.5 × 88 mm pack contains 100 clear 40-micron sleeves.
- You also have a group of Mini Euro cards
- Count the 45 × 68 mm cards separately: the selected uplay.it edizioni Premium packs contain 50 90-micron sleeves.
- You want to keep the original insert
- Try a small group of sleeved cards in the tightest compartment and check how much taller the stack becomes before sleeving everything.
- You are buying more sleeves for an already sleeved deck
- Look for the same size and line; before mixing them with the others, check that the cards remain indistinguishable.
The suggestions explained
Honu Moana: 100 Bustine Standard (63.5 x 88 mm) (HMN-7041)
For many 63.5 × 88 mm cards and limited space
Edition language: Italian
See price and buyHonu Moana Standard HMN-7041 would be my starting point for a deck with many 63.5 × 88 mm cards. The pack contains 100 clear 40-micron sleeves: the quantity and thickness make them a sensible option when you want to protect many cards while limiting added bulk. Before placing the full order, I would still test them in the tightest compartment in the box. When restocking, check the line and size of the sleeves you already use: the uplay.it edizioni equivalent should be compared with the same Standard line, not a Premium in the same size.
The trade-off to know
If you prefer more substantial protection, consider Premium in the same size and recalculate both the number of packs and the space required. The 100 sleeves are useful only for compatible cards: a game with more than one card size needs separate counts. Clear sleeves also leave any marked backs visible.
Honu Moana: 50 Bustine Premium Mini EURO (45 x 68 mm) (HMN-7080)
For frequently handled 45 × 68 mm Mini Euro cards
Edition language: Italian
See price and buyThe Premium Mini Euro packs from our uplay.it edizioni and Honu Moana brands offer 50 clear 90-micron sleeves in the 45 × 68 mm size. I would consider them for a group of small cards that are frequently passed around or shuffled every game. Their appeal lies in the combination of a specific size and the Premium line: there is no need to adapt a sleeve for the main deck to much smaller components. Count this group separately and keep a few spares from the same line, especially if all the cards need to look the same from the back.
The trade-off to know
Mini Euro does not mean just any small card: compare both dimensions for your edition. Packs of 50 may mean buying more packs than a line sold in packs of 100. The 90-micron thickness adds bulk, so also check the compartment for the secondary cards.
Honu Moana: 75 Bustine Superior (63.5 x 88 mm) (HMN-GREEN)
For comparing 60-micron sleeves in the 63.5 × 88 mm size
Edition language: Italian
See price and buyThe Honu Moana Superior HMN-GREEN pack contains 75 clear 60-micron sleeves. I would consider them for 63.5 × 88 mm cards when you want to compare an intermediate option between 40-micron Standard and 90-micron Premium. The size stays the same, so you can focus on how the grip changes and how much space the deck takes up in the container you already use.
The trade-off to know
A pack of 75 is not counted in the same way as a pack of 100: for 160 cards, you need three. The intermediate thickness alone does not guarantee the result you want, nor does it make a Superior sleeve indistinguishable when mixed with sleeves from another line.
Honu Moana: 50 Bustine Premium EURO (59 x 92 mm) (HMN-7029)
For 59 × 92 mm Euro cards in the Premium line
Edition language: Italian
See price and buyThe Honu Moana Premium Euro HMN-7029 pack is in the 59 × 92 mm size and contains 50 clear 90-micron sleeves. I would consider these when the game uses cards that are narrower and taller than the 63.5 × 88 mm size. They are an option for substantial protection for that specific group, which should be counted separately even when the box contains other decks in different sizes.
The trade-off to know
Euro and Mini Euro do not refer to the same size. Also check how much taller the stack becomes in the original compartment: both the Premium thickness and the number of cards matter, especially if the insert was already full.
Honu Moana: 50 Bustine Premium French Tarot (61 x 112 mm) (HMN-7143)
For long cards in the French Tarot 61 × 112 mm size
Edition language: Italian
See price and buyThe Premium French Tarot packs from our uplay.it edizioni and Honu Moana brands offer 50 clear 90-micron sleeves in the 61 × 112 mm size. I would choose them for a group of long cards that needs precisely these proportions. They are a useful example of why the name Tarot should not replace measurements: compare height and width with a card from your edition, not the game's genre.
The trade-off to know
Tarot is used for different sizes: do not order this pack for just any card called a tarot card. The greater vertical space required means checking the container and dividers, even if there are only a few cards to protect.
Honu Moana: 50 Bustine Premium Magnum (80 x 120 mm) (HMN-7146)
For large 80 × 120 mm cards
Edition language: Italian
See price and buyThe Honu Moana Premium Magnum HMN-7146 pack contains 50 clear 90-micron sleeves in the 80 × 120 mm size. I would consider them when large cards or game sheets match those dimensions and are still handled frequently. Their transparency lets you read both sides if the component requires it, without implying that the pack is universally compatible with all character sheets.
The trade-off to know
Magnum refers to a specific size here. Measure the component and the storage space before buying: a large sleeved card may not fit in the same compartment as the regular deck. An open-ended sleeve does not make its contents waterproof.
Size is given as two measurements
The Honu Moana HMN-7041 sleeves are 63.5 × 88 mm; the Premium Mini Euro sleeves from our brands are 45 × 68 mm. These are two distinct sizes, intended for different groups of cards. The word Standard alone is not enough: in the title of the first option, it also identifies the product line by thickness. Writing down both numbers avoids relying on an ambiguous commercial name.
Always check whether a measurement refers to the compatible card or the sleeve's external dimensions. Do not automatically add millimetres to the card dimensions to look for another size. If an old pack has already worked, its code is a useful reference; if you change to a different edition of the game, check again. The card should fit without bending and stay inside, with no strain on the edges.
Standard, Superior and Premium: choose the trade-off that works for you
The Standard HMN-7041 pack contains 100 clear 40-micron sleeves. The Premium Mini Euro pack contains 50 at 90 microns. The stated thickness distinguishes the lines, but these two options also come in different sizes: choose the size first, then compare the thicknesses available in that size. For the 63.5 × 88 mm size, there is also the 60-micron Superior, in packs of 75. A thicker sleeve cannot make up for the wrong size.
For many cards stored in tight compartments, I would start with Standard, testing the result on a small group. For cards handled frequently, I would consider Premium, accepting the extra bulk. I would not treat the micron rating as a promise of durability or resistance to bending: grip, shuffling and available space need to be tested. A stack that fits only when compressed is a sign that you need to rethink the storage arrangement.
Count the packs separately for each size
Divide the number of cards by the number of sleeves in a pack and always round up to the nearest whole number. For example, 132 cards measuring 63.5 × 88 mm need two Standard packs of 100; another 44 cards measuring 45 × 68 mm need just one Premium Mini Euro pack of 50. These are illustrative quantities, not the contents of a specific game. Leftover sleeves in the first size cannot replace those in the second.
Include expansions you already use and cards that may join the same deck during play. Also decide whether you want to keep a few spares: in the example, 68 Standard and 6 Mini Euro sleeves are left over. Compare the cost of the full quantity you need, not just that of one pack. A pack of 50 and a pack of 100 do not protect the same number of cards.
Test them in the box and on the table too
Sleeve a few cards and test three actions: picking a card up from the table, holding your hand of cards and putting the group back in its compartment. Check the width, height and clearance above the stack when you close the box. If the insert leaves little room to spare, considering a different storage arrangement first avoids discovering the problem after opening every pack.
The options selected here are clear, so both sides remain visible. This is useful when the back contains information you need to read, but it does not hide any marks already on the card. Keep protection consistent within any deck whose cards must remain indistinguishable. You can choose different lines for separate groups, provided they will not be mixed together later in the game.
Questions before buying
Can I replace uplay.it edizioni with Honu Moana?
Yes, provided the size and thickness grade match, as indicated in the product listings. Also check the quantity per pack. The equivalence of the brands does not make different sizes, or Standard and Premium, interchangeable.
Do I need to protect every card in the box?
You can prioritise decks that are shuffled and handled frequently. However, think about groups that may be combined during play: different sleeves or unsleeved cards could reveal information that should remain hidden.
Do sleeves make cards waterproof?
No. The open end still allows liquids in. Use them to limit contact and normal wear, while continuing to keep the cards dry and drinks away from the components.
