Dark Horse is a horse racing card game.

At the beginning of the game, each player randomly receives two Betting cards (out of total 14) and five Action cards (out of total 33). A Betting card has a number from 1 to 7 on it (There are two sets of them: 7 x 2 = 14). Beginning with the starting player, each player lays down one of the 7 Horse cards on the table, adding it to the foremost or hindmost position. After the initial set up, the last (7th) Horse card is flipped, marking it as the Dark Horse in the race.

On a player's turn, he or she must play an Action card and execute its effect. For instance, he must "move the fourth Horse card forward or back two spaces," "move the number 6 Horse card forward or back one space," or "exchange one of your Betting cards with an unused Betting card."

Additionally, he can pick up one of the three Dark Horse tokens, which will rewards 5 extra points if the Dark Horse (the 7th Horse card at the initial set-up) ends up being top three. The Dark Horse token costs you 3 points if the Dark Horse does not finish the race 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.

After five turns, each player reveals his two Betting cards and receives the point according to the matching Horse card's position. From the first to the 7th, receive 10, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point(s) respectively. Add 5 or subtract 3 points if you own a Dark Horse token. Whoever has the most points is the winner.
