Reisende des Südtigris plays during the heyday of the Abbasid Caliphate, around the year 820 AD. As brave explorers, cartographers, and astronomers, players start from Baghdad to map the surrounding land, waterways, and the sky above. Players must carefully manage their caravan of workers and equipment, regularly reporting their discoveries to be recorded in the House of Wisdom. Who will impress the Caliph and who will lose their way and succumb to the wilderness? The goal of Reisende des Südtigris is to have the most victory points (VP) at the end of the game. Players mainly earn VP by mapping land, water, and sky. But also through their caravans, through inspiration, and the 3 guilds Science, Trade, and Discovery, VP can be won. As they make their discoveries, players want to quickly record and enter their progress in the diary. Once a player reaches the right end of the diary track, the end of the game is triggered. Game contents: 20 dice, 60 influence markers, 4 player markers, 10 diary tiles, 62 upgrade tiles, 12 worker figures, 48 provisions markers, 48 silver markers, 36 townspeople cards, 36 land cards, 36 water cards, 36 sky cards, 16 inspiration cards, 6 planning cards, 3 double-sided game board pieces, 4 double-sided player boards, 1 rulebook.
