Dungeon Degenerates Hand Of Doom Core

Simply the best dungeon crawl outhere. The design works very well, each new game feels like a new adventure in a bizarre and savage world that would make for a wonderful TTRPG supplement. The art is amazing and the lore is mesmerizing. I just love everything about this.

Wonderful artstyle, if you like gritty Dark Fantasy. The worldbuilding is phenomenal and reminds me of "City of Chaos" on a larger scale. Has got a lot of rules, but at its core its not that complex, so the time you`ve got the rules, its very smooth to play. Genius playstile I like it a lot how the world and the heroes are changing but its not the leveling, its the Campaign, that holds the game for me, very well designed!

Best story-driven fantasy game there is. Always so fun to play. And the board/cards are Always so extravaganza to look at! I use all the flavour books and play this game with a strong narrative element present. It is just so crazy how alive the world is in this game. The random elements and events blend into the story as well as you would expect in a preprogrammed game. It is just amazing. And I really enjoy the combat system. It is old fashioned but super fun and easy (after a couple of plays). (and it also encourages you to create stories - a little bit like in real RPGs).

I got into board gaming with Arkham second edition in 2012 and Dungeon Degenerates is exactly that kind of game in principle, for better or for worse. It feels somewhat archaic in terms of gameplay and features themes of sexual misconduct, drug abuse, depression, misanthropy and crime. Most importantly, DD's world feels lived in and somehow real. It's systems driven, so things will happen in the world regardless of your actions, but also because of them too. I absolutely love it.
