Labyrinth The War On Terror 2001 3 Inch Box

A joy to play. The theme just oozes from this game. As the insurgents, you really struggle to maintain Islamic Rule in countries and funding is always a concern. As the Coalition, you can easily get bogged down in one spot while the insurgents target another. Labyrinth is as much fun as I've ever had playing a board game.

Fantástico juego, con una tensión increíble, decisiones en todo momento y sobre todo divertido. Con unas mecánicas, que reflejan muy bien el tema del conflicto. Eso si, se necesita varias partidas y probar más de un escenario para poder valorar y entender cómo funciona. Y con la expansión, es como tener dos en uno, imprescindible si te gusta el juego.

As someone who lives in DC and a partner who works in national security cooperation, it is a very well done game to simulate the intricacies of post 9/11 foreign policy. You can clearly see Volko Ruhnke's work and experience at the CIA displayed well here.

Rated a 10 because I keep coming back to it. I'm not entirely sure why. I believe there is an incredible game in there somewhere. I've played 20+ solo, FtF, and PC but still feel like I don't understand what I'm doing and not entirely convinced I'm having fun. Not sure if that makes it a subjectively bad game or means that I'm deluding myself on some level. Perhaps a certain mystique, or as Brett put it, opaqueness, keeps me engaged on an intellectual level even though my fun-o-meter is a bit limp. Euphemism intended.

Absolutely ridiculous how well this game plays. I play solo and once I got the hang of the bot, I've had some of the best games of my solo gaming adventures. It is actually scary how well the theme is presented in play.
