Really fun little game, interesting use of mechanics. Comparable in depth to VPG Hundred Days 20, which I like, but think I prefer the 3ci game. The ZOC and ZOI rules make for interesting interactions.

Successfully achieves the goal of a low complexity, fast, and entertaining Waterloo campaign game. The cavalry, headquarters, and detachment rules provide Napoleonic flavor with minimal rules overhead, and the headquarters and detachment placement machinations make for a game within the game for blocking movement and controlling communication lines. Nice production quality, big map, and scenarios for launching from the historical positions into battle or starting from a blank slate to fight on other fields entirely. Good Sunday afternoon beer & pretzel game.
More interesting than the C3i Gettysburg game with the similar system. The rules are a bit tricky, though, with lots of edge cases and the manual isn't at all clear in many of them. Also seems to have a mild move deadlock problem (stalemates can happen sometimes). But really love how fluid it is.
I thought this was better than Gettysburg. While the core mechanics are similar to Gettysburg, the larger map, multiple HQs, detachments, and cavalry rules all work together with this solid core system to create a game that has a great deal of nuance and constantly presents interesting choices despite very little rules overhead. It does feel tough on the French, but this simply reflects the historical situation, and it's not so imbalanced to the point where it detracts from the enjoyment of the game. All in all an elegant game that accomplishes a lot with a little.
I like this one quite a bit more than Mr. Herman's similar game, Gettysburg. The use of detachments; cavalry and a large map, give the player a lot of interesting decisions. It feels quite chess like, and there are many divergent strategies, so replayability is higher than one might expect for a wargame on this scale.
