In Bankraub every Player tries to get as much money as possible during several bankrobberies.
There are four Banks in the Center of the board - equipped with Safes, Alarmbells and/or Guards. The better the eqipment, the more money is....let´say available. But, the more gangsters are needed.
For a perfect robbery on needs a plan of the Bank, secondly a plan of a safehouse (otherwise you move eternally through the city like the flying dutchman...), Gangsters responding to the equipment (an Electrician for an Alarm, a Safebreaker for a safe, and one gorilla for each guard).
After the Robbery you may escape just walking, but it might be a good idea to use a car, a tramway or to slip into the canalization (uuuuuh).
All this is shown on cards.
In the first phase of the game all players pick cards, skip useless cards and try to complete their deck of 11 cards in order to make a perfect robbery and a successful escape.
The first phase lasts until one player shouts "Bankrobbery!".
From now on all other players are followers who try to track and block the Gangsters - also either by foot (rolling the Die), or by car, tramway etc.
The second phase ends, if a) the Gangsters reach their safehouse, or b) all other players (at least one of them) block the Gangsters and show a stronger Bunch of criminals.
If b) the second game phase may end now, but also the succesflu follower may decide to grab the money and fle to HIS safehouse.
In this case, he is the new Bankrobber and all other players try now to stop him.
Not to forget: if a player shouts "Bankrobbery!" he has to manage the escape with his 11 cards as collected. All followers may still pick and drop cards.
Even if "Bankrobbery" is a cardgame with a board and sometimes you have to throw a die for movement, it´s mainly a tactical game. In most cases the player will make a perfect robbery and escape, who´s planning was perfct.
"Bankrobbery" is a quite fast game - Bankrobbery and escape will mostly need 15 minutes. Therefore the players should play several turns and check who has got the most money then.
And.... well, the game is kind of mean....
The game is now part of the Spieleschmiede-Crowdfunding project, and will be published in March 2013 in a german-english version.
