After Hugo Pratt's disappearance, Corto Maltese wonders about his future: is there still a path for him? After a storm, he ends up on a beach in Sicily, next to what remains of a noble sailboat named 'Irene di Boston', also eager to sail the seas again. The dialogue is a dream within a dream between the encounter with the raven Puck, the appearance of Golden Mouth, and that of a mysterious Irish girl with red hair. 'The wonders of the world are three: a horse that runs, a dancer that dances, and a sail on the sea,' says Corto. The dream continues with Maltese's cursed and beloved friend: Rasputin who saves him and brings him aboard his own boat towards new adventures and horizons, even after the disappearance of his pencil father.
