Game description from the publisher: Each player is an ambitious adventurer in Guatemala in the 1950s. The country is in crisis, and the large plantation owners, the U.S. government, the farmers, the multinational corporations, the army and the people are all anxious to install a friendly government. You need to use any special interests available to you, whether through bribery or bluff, to help you eliminate rivals and make yourself President. Guatemala 1954, a.k.a. Coup: G54 uses the same simple game mechanisms as Coup, with five of 25 potential characters being chosen for each game, thereby changing the relative power and advantage of everything from game to game.
