In area majority games you place pieces, cubes or armies on regions of the map, and whoever has the most in a region controls it and collects its rewards. You need to be present where it matters, when it matters. It encourages bluffing, temporary alliances and a decisive final push, and suits players who enjoy direct interaction without dice. On average these games seat 2-4 and run around ninety minutes from age 12.
