3 Witches
Description
3 Witches is a must-follow, trick-taking game with no trump suit. At the start of each round, players bid on how many tricks they can win (out of five). The highest bidder becomes the Lead Witch, and their opponents play together on a team as Lesser Witches. The Lead Witch plays two cards (one face down), while the two Lesser Witches combine one card each. Two ingredients of the same rank or suit get added together, leading to tricky situations! If the Lead Witch wins exactly the number of tricks that they bid, they receive two fate tokens at the end of the round; if not, each Lesser Witch receives one fate token. The first player to collect five fate tokens wins.

Original - 8.5 1/2026 - 9.5 One of the best and most unique trick takers. Lots of agency and decision making.

Has become one of our favorite trick takers, if you have the odd pairing of 3 players, highly suggest. Travel friendly, you want to immediately play again after finishing.

Oh damn I like this. Small box, 3 players only, 2v1, semi-coop. I like that you switch teams after every round. I like the way you're making predictions and just the whole concept of thinking about this is something I found to be fun. Everything's straightforward, and the game itself is pretty simple.
8.8/10
A very unique one here. Absolutely worth giving a go since it's a rare game for only 3 players. It has a super neat rotating 2v1 mechanic and isn't like anything else I own, so high marks!
