I really like this expansion a lot. It mixes up the focus and strategy in a significant way. The No Man's Land map seems like a distraction at first. Maybe an easy way to make a few extra resources through discard, but no big deal... Suddenly your rival faction has built out a combo of outposts and cards that brings in 6 or even 9 victory points per round! Whoops. Fortunately, it's not just another thing to keep track of. The new map and associated cards create significantly different paths to victory without feeling cumbersome.

51st State: Master Set – No Man's Land
The No Man's Land expansion for 51st State introduces area control mechanics, where players compete for dominance over contested territories. Using Contact tokens, they interact with the board and build bases to gain resources and Victory Points. An interactive and engaging experience for 2-4 players.
Disponível num armazém externo.Envio em cerca de 7/15 dias
- 50 cards (63.5mmx88.0mm)
Players spend their Contact tokens not only to interact with cards from their hand, but also to interact with the No Man's Land board. The board represents regions close to players' factions and is divided into nine areas, with each area providing different bonuses. Players can build their bases and outposts there to get advantage of the region and gain resources and Victory Points.
The never-ending push and pull between players adds a great deal of player interaction and keeps everyone on their toes until the end of the game.

This is the expansion that changes the game flow the most. You have new actions that let you discard cards to build/upgrade outposts on a map in an adjacent position. This can lead to earlier VP gains from my experience and usually causes games to end faster. Still an enjoyable expansion, though our scores when playing with this expansion are usually lower than with other expansions.
This expansion elevated my score for the base game (Master Set) from an 8.00 to an 8.25.
I'm not convinced that I want a board with area control battles in one of my favorite tableau building card games.
