Description
7 Wonders lasts three ages. In each age, players receive seven cards from a particular deck, choose one of those cards, then pass the remainder to an adjacent player, as in Fairy Tale or a Magic: the Gathering booster draft. Players reveal their cards simultaneously, paying resources if needed or collecting resources or interacting with other players in various ways. Players have individual boards with special powers on which to organize their cards, and the boards are double-sided. Each player then chooses another card from the deck they were passed, and the process repeats until players have six cards in play from that age. After three ages, the game ends. Some cards have immediate effects, while others provide bonuses or upgrades later in the game. Some cards provide discounts on future purchases. Some provide military strength to overpower your neighbors and others give nothing but victory points. Each card is played immediately after being drafted, so you’ll know which cards your neighbor is receiving and how his choices might affect what you’ve already built up. Cards are passed left-right-left over the three ages, so you need to keep an eye on the neighbors in both directions.

Possibly our most beloved game. We don't enjoy it for two-player games with the AI third player, but now that our oldest two can play we'll be pulling it out more often. Love that it is simultaneous, since I play with people who tend to have AP. I've seen people win with banking, military, science, blue cards, and guilds, so it's suited to many styles of playing.

Very good game. Very smartin it's way of playing : since you play at the same time, adding new players doesnt realy increase the duration of the game : So you can play a strategy game at like 6 people without having to wait 10 minuts beetwin turns, and without spending 2 hours (so u can play one more game). Cards are very nice looking, and the wonder are goergeous. Game is easy to learn, but still offer a lot of strategy, that you sometimes have to combine depending on what your opponents do. It's a very good entrance in the world of strategic games with a short duration and without too heavy mechanics.

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve played it three player so much, but I find three player games to be the optimal number. I do not enjoy two player (now there’s a duel game for 2 player, which I do recommend).

Really good game, it reminds me of the video game Age of Mythology with the progression of civilization etc... I strongly recommend, quite simple to play but difficult to master.

CAUTION! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. It contains small parts which could be swallowed or inhaled.
