In Camel Up, up to eight players bet on five racing camels, trying to suss out which ones will place first and second in a quick race around a pyramid. The earlier you place your bet, the more you can win — should you guess correctly, of course. Camels don't run neatly, however, sometimes landing on top of another one and being carried toward the finish line. Who's going to run when? That all depends on how the dice come out of the pyramid dice shaker, which releases one die at a time when players pause from their bets long enough to see who's actually moving! This 2018 edition of Camel Up features new artwork, a new game board design, a new pyramid design, engraved dice, and new game modes, including crazy rogue camels that start the race running in the opposite direction! You never know how a race will end!

Always a raucous time with this one. My kids, 6 and 8 love it! They don't get too sore when they lose, and it plays in around 30 min at 3 ppl. The production is off the charts - I'm just impressed how my 6 year old is engrossed throughout, although she sometimes needs to be reminded that there are other (more optimal) actions than rolling a die. It's really a very clever, and I would even say, elegant game - just the right amount of rules for such a random affair. Don't be fooled, though, there are quite a few good tactics that can be used. Anyway, it's a great game to end the day with.

Hilariously fun betting game where the race can completely change at ANY time! Perfect for kids and folk who don't play board games often, everyone at the table gets REALLY into the action!

A perfect game in that it set outs to do something simple and accomplishes it. There's a lot of luck and gambling, but some understanding of the rules and statistics can still give you an edge. Fantastic, light-complexity game for all levels.

I truly think this is a masterpiece of a game. My first game was a bit underwhelming and I've seen that's a common experience for many players, but then it grew on me. It's not a race game, it's about gambling and betting and if players really lean into it, the game creates stand-up moments of fun and laughter. We use partnership cards at all player counts, and we allow to play them even before anyone has taken a betting ticket (sometimes it's your best option and we haven't found a rule that would prevent it :))
