Description Description

The Eternal Battle –cooperative tactical boardgame with rpg elements (and with miniatures and terrain!) made for 1-4 players. There are two story based campaigns made in fantasy settings. Players control heroes of the game: they are unique, have own background, and through the course of adventure they will get new abilities, find new treasures and follow non-linear story (it`s not just words). 1st campaign concentrates on epic skirmishes in borderlands while two great countries are on the brink of war (What will heroes do? Would they save young noble from the hands of the gnolls? Would they slay great champion of Broken Fangs clan? Could they stop the war?). 2nd more focused on small scale events and local characters, and concentrate on the border village under the threat of the bandit raid (Who would survive to the end of the campaign and who will fall under the marauder`s blades, while trying to protect the innocents? Weary but stalwart soldier? Old but smart herbalist? Bitter and fearless blacksmith? Former poacher with a brave heart?.. and many more – play the game and you`ll choose their fate). All battles happen on the game tile (that divided into squares). Heroes and enemies represented by high quality miniatures. Enemies are controlled by the game act accordingly to their IA (written in the "Tactic" cards). Plastic 3D terrain will create different landscapes and make battles more interesting and tactically advanced. Sometimes players will use 10-sided dice, to determine success of their actions. Battle is turn-based and has strong cooperative elements. Between the fights the Eternal Battle gives a lot of roleplay possibilities for those who like this. (game designer joked about it as "D&D from the box") There are two game modes: In "single mission" game mode players must fulfil mission objectives (kill all enemies, save NPC, check all quest places, kill Boss, survive number of rounds, etc.). In the "campaign mode", players must complete missions, move forward through non-linear story, and make decisions: what to do before next mission, and what next mission will be about.
