Tactical co-op. SCI-FI ameritrash, a blend of Space Hulk and Zombicide. Fortunately it is a game with no zombies, it's more like the Aliens movie. Every turn is like a puzzle, is tense and tells a story. It seems to be the easiest of the series. Awesome components! Great solitaire suitability using only 3 survivors (dividing all spawn numbers by 2 and, on hard scenarios abomination spawn only at 1d6=1-3. Also, the map is less "crowded"). And using noise tokens to take note which survivor has had their turn. To make a scenario harder the best option is to remove (some) easy spawn cards. Mayday sleeved.

Zombicide: Invader
Form a team with your friends to survive a space colony under attack by Xeno invaders. Cooperative game with 10 missions on modular maps and character upgrades.
- 125 cards (41.0mmx63.0mm) [suggested by ]
Humans set off into the stars in search of high-powered fuel and found it in the remote corner of the universe on the small planet PK-L7. Their discovery of Xenium — a dark, oily compound deep below the planet's surface — was everything they hoped for. But they found something else, too. The Xenos attack was brutal and unrelenting. While the scientists and soldiers have held them off the best they could, the Xenos are still coming... Zombicide: Invader is a cooperative game in which 1-6 players face Xenos, an unfathomable swarm of infected Xenos controlled by the game itself. Each player takes on the role of one to six survivors in a sci-fi setting being overwhelmed by these Xenos. The goal is simple: Choose a mission, complete its objectives, kill as many Xenos as possible, and (most importantly) survive! Survivors will fight Xenos, rescue each other, recover vital data, unveil dark secrets, and much more! Survivors can be civilians or soldiers, each with specialized skills. They all play together as a team, trading equipment, and covering each other. They use whatever weapons they can get to kill Xenos and slow the invasion. The better the weapon, the higher the body count, but the more Xenos will appear, attracted by the onslaught! Survivors must also be mindful of their location as conventional weapons work fine indoors, but the planet’s oxygen-starved surface, they’ll need to arm themselves with more specialized weaponry. Lasers, anyone? Most of the time, Xenos are predictable, but there are a lot of them and they use nasty tactics not encountered in previous Zombicide games. Only through cooperation can players achieve the Mission objectives and win.

ENAMORADA. Dormir estuvo sobrevalorado.
Sadly for my bank account, the zombicide series keeps getting better. The scenarios for this set seems more innovative than those I've seen in the past. other than that, the usual combination of sufficient die rolling that the luck evens out, meaning that without a good strategy and coordinated play, you will lose.
I feel like I'm in the minority for saying this is my favorite of all the Zombicides so far. Even though my favorite theme is for this type of game is fantasy, the ruleset for Invader is easily what I like the most. The focus fire in particular is very nice so I don't have to wait for someone else to come along to deal with bigger enemies and there is a lot of tension when you roll the dice hoping for multiple hits. At first (and it certain scenarios) the game does feel a lot easier then others, but once mold starts spreading and more and more enemies spawn all at once, that can change really quickly.
My deep love of Zombicide 1st edition lead me very quickly into discovering Invader. Updated dynamics to fit the theme, and a setting that I really love, combined with the same quality of components that served Zombicide so well cemented Invader into my rare 10 score games. Its different enough from the modern setting to be distinct and not just a reskin, with some new mechanics that really do make it stand out. I'll keep coming back to Invader time and time again.
