Description Description

A volume entirely dedicated to the most famous and original comics created by Antonio Rubino, the first great master of Italian comics. From the incredible geometric misadventures of Quadratino to the anti-pedagogical stories of Caro and Cora, from the futurist-inspired inventions of Abetino to the overtly political production of the 1930s, passing through the crowded pre-Jacovitti pages of La Tradotta and reaching the mid-1950s production, never reprinted until now. A display of surprising vitality in visual inventions and linguistic play by a fundamental author of Italian comics, accompanied by reconstructions and commentary by two of the leading experts of the period, Claudio Bertieri and Paola Pallottino. A new opportunity to continue celebrating a century of Corriere dei Piccoli, and a rich tribute to the most important Italian illustrator for children in the first half of the twentieth century.
