The fighting in North Africa was unlike any other in World War II. Now you will command the forces of either the Axis (Germany and Italy) or the Allies (the United Kingdom and, eventually, the United States) in a campaign that may again capture the imagination of the entire world. Intercept enemy convoys headed to the ports of North Africa… while protecting your own. Prove your logistical prowess by keeping your forces supplied. But most of all, show your ingenuity as a general and you may change the course of history and ultimately gain the respect of your opponents.

I’ve been waiting for this one for quite a long time. It’s all about the supply, as it should be in North Africa. I wish some of the jeeps and trucks were a little bigger, but they’ll have to do.

It’s honestly incredible, a rare A&A title that allows for multiple strategies. The overall quality is superb, the only nitpick is the small UK jeeps. Other than that, amazing first game from Renegade.

Great addition to the Axis & Allies franchise. I love how each power has different combat and cost values for the combat units, the new supply mechanic, and the newly added land and sea mines. I also like how the territories are named after towns in the territories. Despite this, there are a few bad/inconvenient mechanics in the gameplay and rules. One, the rules are confusing and not very reader-friendly. Two, I feel as if 10-sided dice are confusing when comparing units to other games in the A&A franchise (though I do like how it makes combat more intricate). Nevertheless, the good qualities outweigh the bad qualities.

This is an example of how I want my A&A games to be: rich in tactics, deep, yet not too complex. When you first read the rules or watch a "how to play" it can feel overwhelming, but as you start to play it all comes together very nice. You wil win or lose because of your sound tactical requisitions, poor military judgements, some instances of good luck with the dice and sound logistical planning and vice versa. These four ingredients make up the game and Matt nailed it!
