Great expansion, brillantly solves the problem of accumulating equipment on the table and emptying the deck with a couple cards. The two knives' mechanics are also a great addition. I don't think the second Ronin was needed, I don't like playing SS with even number groups - though it comes in handy with numerous groups.
Excellent expansion overall, adds a few new interesting mechanics on the cards and room for an 8th player. Scoring still a little wonky.
It adds new options, weapons and ways to kill the rest of players. Totally worth it.
If you have Samurai Sword, you should get this expansion. More is always better.
