I am a little sad this is so far down the list in Rank. This is an amazing game. I played it once and fell in love with it right away and had to get my own copy. It's fast, east to teach and plenty of depth. Great gateway game. I also like the "co-op" element to it. And since scoring are not overly transparent (unless you are really anal about counting all the scores in every city) you never feel like you are losing or behind.

Fantastic game for up to 7 players. Due to the addition of players have a negligible impact on the total duration, we played with 4, 5, 6 & 7 people in sequential games. Fun, borderline addictive, value for money. What more could you want?
This is a very good large-group game, that has an interesting player ineraction. Rather than being confrontational, it is semi-collaborative, trying to get your neighbors to work with you and NOT their other partner.
One of the best. Solo mode and two player games are excellent and highly recommended. Then the standard 3-7 player game is fantastic. The pick and build with your neighbors aspect is so creative. The game plays quick and people often pick up the concepts quickly. Just an all around fantastic game.
12+ plays This is such an elegant and well-designed gateway game. It's the first game I pull out in a group that is ready to move beyond party games, but not ready for a heavy euro. The mechanics are straightforward but interesting, the downtime is minimal, and there is interaction. I find this far superior to the mechanically similar 7 Wonders due to the player interaction. I've taught this game to a good two dozen people and EVERYONE has liked it. Best of all it remains fun for those of us who have played it a lot. This one is an underrated gem. Capitals expansion highly recommended if only to use the 5x5 grid and purple buildings (I haven't taught it with the districts)
