BOTTEGHE DI TOKYO

Mateusz Urbanowicz has been living in Tokyo for several years. In 2016, he debuted with a series of ten watercolour drawings dedicated to old Tokyo shops. The drawings immediately became a great success and appeared in numerous newspapers and on TV shows. The author decided to complete the series with forty new shops, exploring their architectural variations in various Tokyo neighborhoods. The book soon became a reference guide for all those nostalgic for old Tokyo. The bilingual Italian-Japanese text includes an appendix explaining the technique used to draw the facades and the materials used to create the watercolour drawings.
