Break RPG Limited Edition (GDR)
BREAK!! is a tabletop roleplaying game of exploration and adventure. BREAK!!'s setting and aesthetics are inspired by classic anime and SNES era videogames, along with wistful fantasy novels and movies! BREAK!! is a 470 page, full-color book loaded with diagrams and infographics to make learning and playing the game as fast and fun as possible. BREAK!! is ready to ship (almost). The game is fully designed and tested. A 95% complete PDF will be available to backers shortly after the end of the campaign, presuming we have funded! BREAK!! is simple and quick to learn, perfect for anime and JRPG fans looking to try out tabletop games for the first time. BREAK!! provides a familiar, yet clean and modern, rule set for those looking for a new place to have their fantasy fun. BREAK!! is suitable for players aged 12 and up. It contains some challenging themes and art that will engage older children but parental discretion is advised for younger players. BREAK!! possesses many features that make oldschool style of play so much fun... it's just a little bit less grimdark. This includes: problem solving focus, zero to hero progression, quick procedures, and modular subsystems. BREAK!! has a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting full of derelict mega structures, shambling war machines, and nature warped by magical pollution. The sun machine is broken; bathing half the planet in light and casting the other into shadow. Each character has a Quirk, a physical or psychological anomaly that makes the character unique. Adversaries are included; these range from demonic plague carriers to tiny, annoying elementals. The BREAK!! rules will be familiar to anyone who's slung a d20 before, but they have been streamlined to make it easy to pick up for new players. BREAK!! only needs a d20. Every adventure is an opportunity to explore, negotiate, fight, and create social bonds.
