In Viscounts of the West Kingdom, players travel through the West Kingdom to increase their influence in society. To do this, they recruit citizens, employ workers, copy manuscripts, build buildings, and trade. Only those who play their cards wisely can emerge as winners at the end of the game, when the West Kingdom is either in ruins or flourishing (or both at the same time).
