Snailed It? Gah! ------------ The assumed strategy at first is to create and maintain small ranges thus minimizing Cabanga! The result is somewhat luck-driven and stale. The real strategy is to play off of the age of the deck and the discards of a suit knowing that wider rangers are not as vulnerable in the early game. Organically, the group tends to move up or down suits so there is foresight in knowing when to keep a suit on the edge and when to nudge it towards the middle. The balance and timing of when to hold on to middle ranged but higher scoring cards is very clever.

After the row cards and starting cards in all four colors have been placed in the middle of the table and players each have a hand of eight cards, the round begins. Players then take turns placing one card next to the matching row card in the middle, ideally with as small a difference as possible because the larger the number gap, the greater the chance that the other players will call out "Cabanga!" and throw cards with the values between the two number cards to the active player. These thrown-in cards are placed on the discard pile, then the active player must draw the same number of cards from the penalty pile.
When a player has no more cards in hand, the round ends and all players count the points on their cards. As soon as a player has collected 18 points, the game ends and the player with the fewest points wins!

Très bon petit jeu de fin de soirée ou pour jouer avec les plus jeunes. Permet d'avoir des suspenses qui peuvent faire tourner le cours d'une partie.
This game is super fun. I might've given it an 8 just for me, but it's my son's new favorite game in the world, so that earned it an extra star.
This is my biggest 'little' hit so far in 2024. Fantastic game with more depth than one first might think, easy to teach and appeals to a wide audience.
Family favourite shedding (no climbing) game with almost no rules; plays great with 4-6 players and you get to shout 'Cabanga!' a lot.
