The new tiles are fun to play with, and it's also nice to be able to play with 6 players now with the extra pieces it comes with.

Perfect expansion. Should be the first to buy. It's simple to understand but change the strategy.

A must-have with Carcassonne. Once your table understands the base game rules and you introduce this one, there's really no reason to go back. The Inns are such fun tiles and make roads much better, and the giant Cathedrals are challenging pieces that can make or break the game; either through building a giant castle worth huge points, or by putting them on an opponents castle to make sure they don't finish it by the end of the game, taking their half-points. The giant meeples are also incredibly strategic and add a lot.

Inns are hard to recognise on the roads, and some are unclear which road they belong to, but cathedrals can be played against an opponent for huge fun.
