Carl von Linné is a strategic board game set in the early 18th century, where players take on the roles of naturalists inspired by the work of Carl Linnaeus and his contemporaries. By exploring distant regions, collecting and studying specimens, cultivating botanical gardens, corresponding with scientific institutions and publishing influential books, players gradually build knowledge and reputation. Carefully managing actions through an original lens system and balancing fieldwork with academic study, players compete to best contribute to the emerging taxonomy system and leave a lasting mark on the history of natural sciences.
