First game is quite hard and blur. But after : So much reblayability, the possibility when you master the game with so simple setup is awesome !

Chu Han immerses you in a fascinating civil war in ancient China, where two players clash for control through dynastic intrigue. A strategic card game that combines tactics and diplomacy in every turn, perfect for head-to-head battles.

Tom Lehmann is absolute master. Incredible tension and the push-your-luck to draw more cards but potentially give away more points system is genius. Has that mark of a great classic game of feeling more "discovered" than "invented" and this fits that bill IMO.
There are only a few special cards, so you can quickly get an overall picture of the cards and properly run through them right away. And yet, there is a good amount of randomness, so the combos you make up change every time you play. If that's not enough, you can play event cards and legacy games that change from game to game. It's amazing.
I have to say, this has become one our favorite two player games in the collection. I've played it at least two dozen times with the same opponent and our strategies have evolved so much over that time. Every game starts with us groaning about how bad our individual hands are. Then the bluffing and tricks begin. The special powers have evolved as well and things we felt we important early have fallen to the wayside. I can't believe how much we love this game. The only downside I have with it is that I can't play it with anyone else now as we've gotten so competitive against one another!!
Tom Lehmann does it again. What a great card game. Ladder climbing for two people. Never feels like the card draws hosed you like some of these feel. Interesting tension between saving cards for their powers or using them to win a hand. Each hand is like a puzzle on how to optimally play it, yet then adapting to what your opponent did. My main negative is that it can run a bit too long.
