It introduces new Citizen and Military cards for each faction (Hogmen, Toads, Cresarians, humans), expanding gameplay strategy. Experts design terrifying war zeppelins, ships that can navigate beneath the waves, and other marvelous machines. Only the nations that embrace tomorrow will emerge ahead. City of Iron: Experts and Engines, the first expansion for City of Iron, includes new, unique citizen and military cards for each nation which open up a new range of strategies and make playing each nation a distinct experience. It also includes Steambot tokens, which can be placed on building cards to give extra goods. Another addition is the Kraxian Pirates token, which can be placed to negate coin bonuses on goods. This expansion is a must-have! The variation it brings to each of the factions is great.

Rating reflects how the expansion makes the base game even that much more awesome! To start, the expansion is not needed. There is a lot of game in the main box. However, the expansion adds a lot more variety to the different nations and some neat new cards.

Fantastic expansion! The new nation cards add a lot of uniqueness to each nation and the steambots give you a nice tweak to your goods that keeps the game tighter. Plus the new art is fantastic!

Essential for the game, IMO - adds a good deal of class uniqueness and variety to the base game.
