The cards are all different, can be acquired during the game, and salt your game with new strategic challenges! Some cards have permanent effects, others return to stack after using. Both the sixth commodity and the new cards can be played with the base game and the Britannia expansion as well, thus giving even more variety.

By taking out the insert from the original box and carefully bagging components and cards, I managed to fit the base, Salsa, Britannia and Aegyptus maps in with everything. BF got me this and the stickers from Levity games to make all the resources and colonists look amazing. Such a wonderful game I will never part with.

Last summer and fall, I played a dozen or so games with an async group at Boitejeaux, using the Salsa expansion. I've since bought the expansion and would love to play it in person. -- Update, January 2024: Finally getting some traction with Concordia, including three plays last summer, all with the Salsa expansion. My game group will open the New Year with a couple more plays, so I'm looking forward to more. Concordia is a game I don't think much about when I'm not playing, but when I *am* playing, I love every minute.

Great expansion for a great game. Besides two new beautiful maps, it offers two new "modules", salt and forum, that can be played with any map and that further enrich the depth and replayabiliity . The first expansion to buy if you already own Concordia Venus. Recommended.

Provides a boost to the value of wine, which is relatively weaker in the base game. Salt as a wildcard resource gives players the flexibility to do things a little bit faster if they play well without really making anything worse. And more maps is always better. This is an expansion I'd never play without.
