The rise in popularity of cryptocurrency over the past months has caused a surge in the number of people trying to jump onto the bandwagon in an attempt to make quick cash. You are a Miner, someone who solves intricate mathematical equations to unlock new units of cryptocurrencies. With the recent influx of interested investors, a few new cryptocurrencies have sprung up, eager to build a name for themselves. As interest in cryptocurrency surged, many hackers have taken it upon themselves to research the source code of the most well-known cryptocurrencies to ensure their integrity. But, rumour has it that one or more of the cryptocurrencies are actually scams in disguise. Will you, who recently purchased a basic mining rig in an attempt to jump on the bandwagon, be able to evade the scammers and end up with a windfall? Can you preserve your wealth and emerge as the most successful cryptocurrency trader? Cryptocurrency is a 2-4 players game that puts the players in a competitive race to make the most amount of money from trading and mining cryptocurrencies. Players can choose to make the following actions during their turn using their computing power: 1) Buy or trade off CPU 2) Trade existing coins in the market 3) Mine for new coins through a push your luck minigame 4) Research for new gossip 5) Check the hidden gossip After exhausting your computing power, all players may lay down their gossip cards which will influence the prices with positive or negative points. At the end of the game, all the gossip cards will be revealed and the coins with the least points will be declared a scam and lose most of its value. All the players then tally their total wealth by adding their cash and total value of their cryptocurrencies. The player with the most value wins. During the game, players must work together or betray each other to mine, trade and spread gossip to each individual's advantage.
