DARK CRISTAL

Young Jen is the last of the Gelfling race, raised safely by the mystical and placid urRu in their valley far from the events of the world. When the Great Conjunction of the three Suns of Thra is near, Jen is given an apparently impossible mission: to leave the valley, search for a unique crystal shard, and reunite it with the great Dark Crystal from which it separated in ancient times, to 'heal' it and free the world from the malevolent influence of the Skeksis, who guard it and use its immense power. Without precise instructions, without the protection of his masters, and armed only with a flute, Jen ventures out to discover a world torn by the oppression of tyranny, but still full of wonders, in an attempt to find his role in an ancestral dispute between Good and Evil whose outlines appear blurred and full of questions...
