Description Description
Der Heilige von Bruckstadt is a bizarre-baroque role-playing adventure for two to four level 1 characters. The dungeon crawl set during the Thirty Years' War takes players into the catacombs beneath the forgotten place of Bruckstadt. The adventure was written with the D&D-based rules of Lamentations of the Flame Princess in mind, but is also playable with any other Old School rule set. Autumn 1631. Apocalypse panic has gripped Germany. Armies with their retinues march through the land, devouring the granaries and stealing the farmers' livestock. In their wake: marauding soldiers, plague, and famine. Large parts of the realm are depopulated, flourishing cities turn into charnel houses. Bruckstadt has so far been forgotten by the war. Neither mercenary armies nor plagues have reached the little town. The inhabitants attribute this to the protection of Saint James, whom they honor with a festival every ten years. 1631 is the time again, but the explosion of the town's powder magazine has buried the access to the saint's crypt. The people are convinced that the saint will no longer hold his protective hand over Bruckstadt. Count Reuben Wolfsgrau is now seeking volunteers to find another way to the crypt of James. A way through the Roman catacombs, where dangers from beyond the grave lurk. 103 pages of Dark-Fantasy packed between two hard A4 covers. 50 illustrations and 10 maps in Old School style. The forgotten county of Grenzland with 3 locations to explore: The Wolfsmoor, the burial mounds, and the ruins of Aarhorst. Detailed description of the (bizarre) inhabitants of the little town of Bruckstadt. A dungeon with 150 chambers, spread over 5 areas. Additionally: 23 unique magical items, 20 devastating grave curses, powerful musical pieces of an ancient toad cult, deadly traps, plenty of gold, and a castle as a reward for saving Bruckstadt.
