Nagai starts working on his own, creating works that will radically change the concept of 'manga' through the legitimization of eroticism, thus originating a nouvelle vague. Our author creates works like Mao Dante and Devilman, where he initiates a complex and original discourse on religions and the ambiguity of good and evil.
