A game by Ashwin Kamath and Clarence Simpson - artwork by Pauliina Linjama. In The Wolves, you are the alpha of a wolf pack. You fight to build the largest and most dominant pack by claiming territory, recruiting lone wolves and hunting prey. But be careful not to push too recklessly into territories claimed by your rivals - they may lure members of your pack to their side. A clever action selection mechanism guides your decisions. For each action, you must flip over terrain tiles that match the terrain where you want to take your action. These double-sided tiles mean that the actions you take this round will determine what types of terrain you can act on in the next round. By taking actions to expand your pack's control over each region, you also improve your pack's abilities, which allows you to take more aggressive actions later in the game. In three scoring phases during the game, the dominance of your pack in certain regions is evaluated. In the end, the player who has earned the most VP tokens during these scoring phases wins.
